Green Light for Production Audi R8 Sportscar in Neckarsulm

INGOLSTADT, Germany - It is now official: the new Audi sports car will be called the Audi R8. Presented as the “Le Mans quattro” concept study two years ago at the Frankfurt IAA Motor Show, Audi has now taken the decision to build its new sports car. Everything is already being prepared for the series production of the R8 at Audi’s plant in Neckarsulm, due to commence in the fourth quarter of 2006. The market launch is scheduled for the second quarter of 2007.

ほう、"Le Mans quattro" をマジで出すんだ。。。
名前も Le Man カーそのままの "Audi R8" だし。。。
発売？は、2007年第２四半期を目指してるんですって。
個人的希望としては Le Man カーに積んでた 3.6L V8 TFSIのデチューン版を望む所ですが。予定はランボと同じ V10でしたっけ？　なんかワクワクしてしまいます。(^^ゞ
