AUDI MAKES HISTORY AS DIESEL-POWERED R10 TDI WINS MOBIL 1 TWELVE HOURS OF SEBRING

Audi Sport North America made history Saturday as the diesel-powered Audi R10 TDI of Tom Kristensen, Allan McNish and Rinaldo Capello won the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. The new prototype is the first diesel car in the world to win a major sports car race.

１位 Car No.2 の Rinaldo Capello/Tom Kristensen/Allan McNish組
ﾘﾀｲﾔ Car No.1 Frank Biela/Emanuele Pirro/Marco Werner組

やりましたね、Audi R10 。
全くの新しいシャシーにエンジン、それもディーゼルで初出場で優勝しちゃいました。恐るべし TDI Power 。
Car No.1は、117週目にエンジンがオーバーヒートしてしまいました。よりいっそうの信頼性向上が必要なのかな。
